Materials: Worsted weight yarn (I used RH Soft Yarn), 5.5mm hook
Finished size: About 5" round
 
CENTER: With yellow, ch 2, 12 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off.

Notes: 3-stitch groups are made using both loops rather than BLO (back loop only). Everything else is worked in BLO unless otherwise noted.

Materials: Red Heart Soft Yarn (or other worsted weight), 5.5mm hook
Finished size: 6" wide x 9" long
Used for: I designed this rectangle for HAP. To learn more about this project, see here.
Notes: Your gauge may vary. Feel free to change to another hook, or to adapt the number of beg ch stitches, but make sure you end up with an even number of sc on the first row.

Note: At end of row 7, leave enough yarn to use for sewing later.

Matching stitches (tip: match first row of instep with first available stitch on bootie side), sew sides of instep to bootie sides (1 st on a side = 1 row on instep), making sure you only sc in free/available stitches, i.e. no sc goes into a stitch that already has a seam going through it. [you should have 22 unworked stitches at this point: 42 on row 4 of bootie sides minus 6 used at beg. of instep minus 14 used for sides of instep = 22 stitches left]
 
CUFF
Row 1: Join with sc in 5th st left of join on back of bootie. Sc in ea. sc around leg opening [22 st] and instep [8 st]. Join to first sc. [total 30 sc]
Row 2: (Eyelet round - used to weave ribbon through)
